The Explorer comes with class-exclusive Curve Control. With this feature, the SUV can slow down up to 10 mph in one second when it detects that you are moving too fast around a curve. It uses throttle reduction and four-wheel braking to help the driver maintain precise control around curves.
You have a number of engine options to choose from with the Explorer. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine uses turbocharging and direct injection to produce best-in-class horsepower. It can reach up to 365 horsepower. The 2.3L EcoBoost engine has available 4WD and the Class II Trailer Tow Package. The 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 engine can deliver 290 horsepower with 255 lb.-ft. of torque.
